GETTING TO LOS APANTLES

Malinalco is a 2 hour drive from Mexico City. Mostly everyone who comes to Los Apantles comes in their own car. We work with experienced and trustworthy drivers and can help you coordinate transportation for your group.

The easiest way for guests to arrange sharing private transportations is for the retreat leader to create a Google Doc, and have their guests input their info to team up into groups.

QUESTIONS

We know how it is. Running a retreat somewhere new can be a bit daunting. Especially if you haven’t travelled a ton, or if this is your first retreat. With the amount of time, energy, and money invested, you want to make sure as the host that you deliver an incredible experience to your students. You want to make sure that you feel a nice connection with the place and the people running it, that the property embodies your own values, and will support you in creating a seamless and extraordinary experience for your group.

FOOD PHILOSOPHY

Our food is full of color, creativity and flavor, with most of our produce coming from nearby farms and local gardens.

A typical breakfast includes fresh hand-cut fruit, mexican style eggs, yogurt, homemade granola with local honey and pastries. Lunch is often a bowl; a base of ancient grains like farro, quinoa or rice, topped with avocado, roasted veggies, protein, and mixed greens. For dinner, expect Mexican + Ayurvedic cuisine, stews, curries, legumes, rice, salad and dessert. We also have an outdoor Palapa with a wood-fired Pizza oven. ☺

Once you confirm your booking, we’ll work with you in terms of meal plan, dietary restrictions, and timing. We’re comfortable with accommodating dietary restrictions such as gluten free and vegan. We’ll offer suggested mealtimes to you based on our experience, and we’ll adjust to your specific needs.

We sell fabulous Mexican wine for $20 per bottle, and local craft beer for $5. Outside alcohol is not permitted.
